American Hoof Association
An organization of peer-reviewed hoof care professionals offering progressive, preventative and rehabilitative services, education and information.
If you can not find an AHA member in your area, please contact the closest member and ask for their advice on finding competent help in your area. Many other Practitioners are currently being reviewed and will be added to this list soon.
All the people listed here now and in the future are AHA Certified. What exactly does AHA Certified mean. The founding members have come up with trimming guidelines that at this time we feel is best for the horse. Each applicant has completed a thorough review process by our Evaluation Committee and has passed to be Certified by the Board Members. Check back frequently as more trimmers are approved and added to the list.
We are taking our time in creating the guidelines that will allow us to accept trimmers into the AHA. We strongly believe in quality over quantity so please bear with us. We have a list of certified trimmers under the link Find a Trimmer.
We are currently accepting applications for members to the AHA, to see our requirements click on the Applicant Requirements and then the Apply button.
Update - Oct 2008

We have created a Forum for anyone who is applying to the AHA, so that if needed you can get help filling out our application. There will also be a place for you to chat with fellow applicants and the existing members of the group. Unfortunately at this time the list is only open to applicants. We anticipate in the future that we will offer a Forum for owners seeking help.
